License: How Course Works

Written Textbooks: Most
people do not want to read a 500-page textbook on their screen,
so the Chamberlin courses always included a written textbook.
All of our textbooks are college quality, professionally published
editions. This is where some schools cut the price of their
courses at your expense. Since your final exam is open book,
your textbook is of vital importance.
On-line Textbook Companion:
The Chamberlin courses utilize a convenient web-based course
delivery system. Upon registration you will receive a Personal
Identification Number with log-in instructions. This on-line
workbook provides:
• A place to submit chapter quizzes and, best of all,
take your final examination at home.
• Quizzes and final exams are graded instantly on your
screen and posted to your private student records.
• Course content is supported by an extensive glossary
and links to relevant websites.
Click the “Test
Drive” link to the right and see how it works.
On-line Final Examination:
100 questions; multiple-choice; open book.
Taken at home, on-line (70% or better to pass)
HOMEWORK IS OPTIONAL
Homework is not mandatory but is highly recommended to help
you learn. The homework is provided to help you gauge your progress
from chapter-to-chapter and as a preview of your final examination.
The following is a step-by-step example of how we recommend
progressing through each chapter of the textbook:
Step One–Read
a chapter in the course textbook. Make sure to do all the exercises
included in the chapter.
Step Two–Review
the important terms and related websites using the links below.
Add these websites to your Bookmarks/Favorites lists for future
reference.
Step Three–Registered
students answer the discussion question and review other student
responses.
Step Four–Take
the Lesson Quiz. We recommend that you retake the quiz until
your receive a score of 100% before you proceed to the next
lesson.
